This year we've got a great lineup of engaging, informational, and inspirational events on Sunday afternoon that will set the stage for an incredible conference experience! ISTE 2010 kicks off at 1 pm with a fun-filled session hosted by technology guru Mario Armstrong (from NPR's Morning Edition). Afterward choose from networking cafés, social media tutorials, podcasting with an ISTE author, a leadership session, and more. Join us for your chance to win great raffle prizes and giveaways—it pays to arrive early at ISTE 2010!

Visit ISTE Central to learn more about your ISTE membership and how to expand your collaboration, learning, and career throughout the year. At ISTE Central you can browse ISTE books and keynote books, review upcoming titles, meet your favorite ed tech author (see below), learn more about your member benefits, and check out ISTE conference attire and merchandise. You can purchase keynote books at ISTE Central too! Jean-Francois Rischard will sign books at ISTE Central at 8 pm on Sunday. Jeff Piontek will hold a book signing outside of the Wells Fargo Theatre after his keynote on Wednesday.
StoryPod Video Kiosks
Share your voice and video at one of our three video collection Storypods. Look for the London-style phone booths near ISTE Central (Lobby D), the Bloggers' Café in the main concourse, and the Digital Arts Playground in Lobby C. A volunteer docent coordinated by ISTE SIGDS (Digital Storytelling) will be available to coach you and answer any tech questions you have in the moment! Choose from one of three prompts: Celebration, Future Vision, and Exploring Excellence.
Hands-on Excellence Storyboards
The whole conference can't wait to see what you have to say about excellence! Look for plexi-storyboards in each lounge and various locations throughout the CCC. Use the provided materials to write, draw, paste, create, and share your personal perspective on what excellence means to you.
Exploring Excellence Cafés
Sunday, 3:30–5 pm,
Korbel Ballroom, Sections A–C
Participate in a structured, collaborative group process and create a collective definition of excellence. Using the NETS framework and six standards for student literacy, spend an hour with your peers brainstorming and exploring the face of educational excellence. Representatives from each of six groups will present group findings in a Spotlight Session, Monday, 12:30–1:30 pm, Four Seasons Ballroom, Section 4.

International Networking Reception
Join ISTE's International Committee in welcoming educators from around the world. Send a Letter to Congress through ETAN
Join Hilary Goldmann, ISTE's director of government affairs, and other leaders of the Education Technology Action Network (ETAN) to "make your voice heard." Stop by the Advocacy Lounge's ETAN kiosk to send an e-mail letter to your representatives in Congress. The Congressional funding process is in full swing, and now is the time to make an impact. Find out how your direct action can make a difference in affecting ed tech funding.
