Map of Convention Center
The ISTE 2010 conference covers a huge space, so check out this PDF of the Colorado Convention Center ahead of time to get oriented and save valuable time and footsteps once onsite! It's marked with main ISTE event and gathering areas, as well as locations of Info Booths, bus stops, etc. This map is also located in your program.
WiFi at ISTE 2010
Our free wireless network is accessible in all meeting rooms and public spaces at the Colorado Convention Center except the Exhibit Hall floor. While network performance can fluctuate due to the number and location of concurrent users, we have worked hard to ensure a robust, high-speed connection for your communication pleasure. Feel free to blog, wiki, e-mail, and research to your heart's content! Our onsite network SSID is ISTE 2010. Stop by the Doctor is In Booth for assistance with configuration.
Conference Planner Stations
A personal planner is a powerful tool to help you get the most out of the conference. Go to the Conference Planner tool to get started—you can invite others in your group to your planner events as well! Remember, adding an event to your planner does not register you for (preregistration) events like BYOL and Open Source labs, and workshops (see BYOL section). Once onsite, you can create, print, and get help with your planner questions at the Doctor Is In booth.
Sunday, 1–6:30 pm; Monday–Tuesday, 8 am–4:30 pm; Wednesday, 8 am–1 pm. Located in Lobby A by the Poster Student Showcase displays.
The Doctors Are In!
Can't get online? Application won't load? File incompatibility? A team of fabulous tech doctors will be available for questions and troubleshooting support. Docs won't open your computer or use tools, but will try to assist in any other way they can.
Sunday, 1–6:30 pm; Monday–Tuesday, 8 am–4:30 pm; Wednesday, 8 am–1 pm. Located in Lobby A by the Poster Student Showcase displays.
Preregister for BYOLs and Open Source Lab Sessions
BYOL and Open Source Lab sessions are open to all registered
attendees, however, due to limited size sessions, preregistration is required (there is no additional fee however). Use the Program Search online or visit the registration area in Hall A to check availability and sign up. IMPORTANT: Seats not filled 5 minutes before scheduled session start time will be released to those waiting on standby on a first-come, first-served basis.
ISTEVision Network
Pick up what you miss with ISTE's Video On Demand (VOD) and video sharing network—ISTEVision! For the next few weeks, ISTEVision's featured event is ISTE 2010, featuring free session and event simulcasts (see schedule below), Second Life™ machinima clips, contest winners, more than 100 2010 VOD sessions, and user-uploaded videos from our members and participants. Archive sessions from 2009 and 2008 are also included on the network.
ISTE-a-Go-Go
Leave your bulky program in your room and stay up to the moment with the ISTE 2010 mobile website. Our new mobile app offers the schedule-at-a-glance and searchable content by day, time, theme, and NETS. You can use the app to give individual session feedback, too, and browse and bookmark the key exhibitors you want to visit. The tool is accessible by all web-enabled smart phones and devices.
Check out Denver News and Events—Denver Post Online
Read the Denver Post online, for free! As a conference attendee, you'll have access to the Denver Post online through July 4. Go to www.DenverPostEducation.com, click the "Log in Here" link next to the laptop, and sign in: Email: iste@iste.org; Password: iste2010. You'll find Denver Post Education section on the left, and the full newspaper on the right.
What's In Your Bag?
We're featuring a "tote system" this year, with a reuseable grocery tote on the outside, and a very special ISTE laptop sleeve inside, provided in part by elite bag manufacturer Higher Ground. Contents inside: Final Program/Exhibit Guide, Exhibit Guide Addendum, ISTE Catalog, Guide to the ISTE 100, "New to ISTE 2010" new exhibitor game card, and cool stuff and resources from our tiered conference sponsors and media partners.
Win with the "New to ISTE 2010" Game
Take a trip around the exhibit hall to visit and welcome our first-time exhibitors. Play for a chance to win an Apple iMac! See the card in your registration bag for details. Winners will be announced at Wednesday's closing session.
Morning Refreshments & Treat-ups on Us!
