Description:Being sick is a normal part of any child's life, but some common childhood ailments can cause enormous disruption at school-- e.g., lice, pinworms, ringworm. By educating parents and developing simple, rational policies, schools can prevent parental panic, reduce the number of lost instructional days and stay focused on teaching. Session will include sample hand-outs to use with parents and sample policy and procedures.

Description:Maintaining positive relations among member school employees, students, parents, guests and other involved parties is a vital aspect of successfully dealing with a claim situation. This class will help with improving relations among all parties, especially member schools and their employees. The training also covers the purpose and function of the WC benefits system and the importance of having an early return to work program and proper accomodation processes to avoid employment lawsuits under ADA and FEHA.
