Book Arts

Book arts and artists’ books are important disciplines in contemporary art and design. The Book Arts program at the University of Oregon encompasses many traditional graphic techniques through an annual selection of related courses, such as: Letterpress, Calligraphy, Watercolor, Color Theory, Bookbinding, and more. These studio classes will be held in the Book Arts facility at Lawrence Hall, located near the intersection of Franklin Boulevard and Onyx Street, in Eugene, Oregon. (Letterpress has suggested prerequisites of ART 115-Basic Design: Fundamentals or ART 116-Basic Design: 3-D.)

For a list of current courses, please see the online Class Schedule, then select a term to search for ART 408 or ART 508 sections.
