Photoshop

Photoshop is a software program that allows images to be enhanced and manipulated digitally through editing, processing, and file-handling tools. Students will produce digital and print images for personal and professional work.

  • Level I Explores the fundamentals of Photoshop. Students will restore a photo by repairing damage and adjusting color/tonal imbalance.
  • Level II Includes intermediate tools related to image creation and combining multiple images. Students will produce a unique image by combining three images and adding additional “drawn” elements.
  • Level III Consisting of in-class demos and hands-on training with provided images, this workshop aims to teach Advanced Photoshop techniques. Topics to include: camera raw, portrait retouching, advanced image correction, digital workflow, batch processing, output to web, and printing preparation. New CS5 features will be covered. Each student will be required to demonstrate techniques covered in class by editing an image (can be provided) as part of an out-of-class assignment.
