Winter 2010 Workshop Dates

Regular UO and CEP students register as normal via DuckWeb. Students new to the University can register via the Community Education Program.

Students requiring use of the handicap accessible elevators or lifts should contact Disability Services in advance.

Illustrator

Illustrator is software for creating vector-based illustrations. Students will learn to use Illustrator as the primary tool for constructing images for print and digital media.

  • Level I Exploration of the fundamentals of Illustrator and vector-based illustration. Students will create a four-ten panel narrative that uses illustrations to tell the story.
  • Level II Exploration of intermediate tools for manipulating text, and creating illustrations and multi-page documents. Students will create a magazine layout that utilizes three separate illustrations combined with text.
  • Level III Exploration of advanced tools and techniques as well as the use of illustrations for interaction and web delivery. Students will create interactive components for use in web or PDF documents.
