We'd love to hear from you. Get in touch. Interpretive ExhibitsInterpretive Exhibits bring objects, images, and ideas to life for visitors through storytelling, diverse presentation media, and learning opportunities that engage multiple intelligences. Two courses offered by UO Continuing Education, in partnership with the UO Arts and Administration Program, introduce participants to the basics of interpretive exhibit planning. Planning Interpretive Exhibits, offered each year during Fall term, engages students in hands-on, creative exploration of skills and techniques of exhibit development. Field trips to the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art and the UO Museum of Natural and Cultural History are an essential part of this 2-credit course, which meets in 249 Lawrence Hall for two full Saturdays. Interpretive Exhibits Studio, scheduled for three Saturdays during Spring term, uses the Lane County Historical Museum as a learning laboratory. Students form design teams, working with museum staff, exhibit planner Alice Parman, and an exhibit designer to create an exhibit plan that makes use of the museum's collections. Planning Interpretive Exhibits and Interpretive Exhibits Studio courses can be found in the online Class Schedule. Who Can Take These Classes?
