Neal currently serves as the web director for Free Press, a national, non-partisan media policy reform organization. The organization works to ensure the public interest is served in federal and state policy regarding the future of the Internet, media ownership, and public media. Neal manages the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of the main web site www.freepress.net and all of the organiztion's campaign sites such as http://www.savetheinternet.com and http://www.stopbigmedia.com.
Prior to joining Free Press, Neal was the Senior Online Communications Director at Metropolitan Group, a full-service creative and strategic communications firm dedicated to serving clients with a social purpose mission. Neal has several years of experience producing Web sites and other online tools for nonprofit organizations, small businesses, and Fortune 500 companies. He holds a master's degree in English with a focus on online communication from Colorado State University. While working on his master's degree, he authored several writing guides for Colorado State's Writing Center a resource used extensively by AIM Capstone students.
