Alicia Shoemaker

Secondary Spanish, English, World Cultures Teacher

District 145 Schools: Waverly

My love for travel and linguistics originally led me to pursue the study of multiple foreign languages abroad, but I have always enjoyed being with students and conducting education-centered research more than any other professional endeavors. In the past, I lived abroad for several years while completing two Fulbright grants, a Kappa Delta Pi National Travel Scholarship, and additional fellowships to teach and explore language acquisition. Now, I facilitate Spanish, English, and World Cultures courses at the secondary level as well as Spanish and education seminars in Nebraskan universities.
