NECC Workshops are the perfect compliment to the many free sessions included with your general conference registration. Workshops provide in-depth exploration of the topics that are most important to you. Choose from a variety of focused, affordable, and effective workshops to meet your individual, school, or district staff development and technology planning needs.

All workshops will be held onsite, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Lab equipment graciously provided by Adobe, Apple, Earthwalk, and Microsoft/HP.

Workshop Formats

Hands-On—Participants will be actively engaged with computers or other equipment (e.g., digital cameras, iPods) as the primary focus of the workshop.

Seminar/Demo—Content is primarily delivered in a demonstration, panel discussion, or lecture format with some activity-based content.

Workshop Lab Environments

WIN—Takes place in a Windows lab with a computer station provided for each participant.

MAC—Takes place in a Mac lab with a computer station provided for each participant.

BYOL (Bring Your Own Laptop)—Participants bring their own laptops to use during the workshop. See workshop's Web listing for details on any prerequisite software you may need.

No Lab—Does not take place in a computer lab.

Beginner—For those with limited or no previous experience with content; no prerequisite skills required.

Intermediate—For those with some experience with content; may require prerequisite skills. See workshop's Web listing for details.
