Purpose & ObjectivesKeeping up with the collaborative sharing of information on the Web, which grows exponentially each day, has become a problem. How does an educator keep up with blogs, micro-blogs, social networks, and email in order to learn from others and contribute their expertise in a timely and meaningful fashion? The objectives of the presentation are to provide tips, tricks, and resources to help educators manage their information flow. The discussion will include coverage of both hardware suggestions and Web-based applications that can streamline this process and will allow time for questions and audience contributions at the end. OutlineThe presentation will include examples of hardware, software, Web-based applications and components by showing examples of successful practices in the managing of information.Supporting ResearchThe presenter has long been involved in both access and management of online information. With the explosion of Web 2.0 and social networking sites like LinkedIn, Facebook, and Ning and the hundreds of educationally-related blogs, the presenter has honed her skills to both manage information and keep ahead of the curve.Presenter BackgroundKathy's resume: http://kathyschrock.net/kbsres.pdf
