Important Information for Research Papers
Presentation
Two papers will be presented in a formal lecture format consecutively in the same room during a one-hour time slot. You will have 30 minutes to present your paper, including questions and comments. A high-speed, Ethernet connection and single-platform (most likely Mac-based) computer presentation station with LCD projection and sound systems will be provided. A presider will be present to serve as timekeeper. Please plan to attend the presentation by the other author in your time slot. Discussion Up to six papers will be presented in a roundtable discussion format concurrently in the same room during a one-hour time slot. No presentation equipment or electricity will be provided. Presenters may elect to bring their own laptops to present key findings in your research, if needed. Each roundtable will accommodate up to 10 people, including the presenter. Please bring a minimum of 10 copies of any handouts you intend to share. Paper Submission Guidelines As a condition of acceptance, NECC research paper presenters must upload their full research paper for publication on the NECC Web site. The deadline for uploading papers is June 15. Research paper authors addressing teacher education who upload their papers by May 7 will be considered for ISTE's SIGTE Research Paper Award of Excellence. The winner will be awarded a one-hour lecture session time slot in addition to his/her currently scheduled paper presentation and consideration for publication in SIGTE's Journal of Computing in Teacher Education (JCTE). The winner will be announced in late May. Research papers shall be uploaded to the NECC Web site in PDF format only beginning in early April. You will receive notification when the research paper submission site opens. Research papers should adhere to the following requirements:
Research papers will be archived on ISTE's Web site for three years after the conference. |
