New! Workshop Final Enrollment Status

NECC has completed its final analysis of workshop enrollments. All workshop presenters must acknowledge receipt of their final workshop enrollment status via their presenter menu on or before May 9. Use the Presenter Login to access your presenter menu to determine if your workshop made the final cut.

New! IVC Presenter Questionnaire

NECC IVC presenters (those who requested their sessions be scheduled into a large group-based videoconference equipped room) may now go online to complete your IVC Connectivity Questionnaire and provide the NECC tech support team with your detailed connectivity requirements. Use the Presenter Login to access your presenter menu, and complete your questionnaire by May 15.

Uploading Handouts and Research Papers

Handouts

NECC presenters are encouraged to make their handouts available to conference attendees via the NECC Web site. Handout files or URLs may be uploaded before, during, and after the conference, through July 11.

Research Papers

Papers on the subject of teacher education submitted by May 7 will be considered for the 2008 SIGTE Research Paper Award of Excellence. All other papers must be submitted by June 15. Be sure to read the Important Information for Research Papers for instructions on formatting and submitting your paper.

How to Upload Files or URLs

Step 1: Save your files in one of the following formats:

  • Adobe Acrobat (.pdf)—preferred for handouts; required for papers
  • Microsoft PowerPoint (.ppt)
  • Plain Text (.txt)

No other formats will be accepted. The maximum allowable file size is 5 MB.

Step 2: Upload your files or URLs via your presenter menu. Use the Presenter Login to access your presenter menu.

Step 3: Verify the successful upload of your files or URLs before signing out of the handout upload screen.

Thank you! NECC attendees greatly appreciate having online access to presenter handouts and research papers.

Workshop Equipment Confirmation

Workshop presenters may now check to see whether their additional equipment requests will be accommodated. If not, you must make arrangements to provide for them yourself. Use the Presenter Login to access your presenter menu and view/acknowledge your equipment request status.

NECC Program Now Live/Workshop Enrollment Access

The NECC program database is now available to the public. Use the Advance Program Search to look up your session on the NECC Web site to see how it is listed. Use the Presenter Login to access your presenter menu to edit your description and/or summary, if neccessary.

Workshop presenters may also now view current enrollment information for their respective workshops via their presenter menu.

Proposal Acceptance/Regret Status Now Available

The Proposal Review Committee has completed its review of all NECC 2008 proposal submissions. Acceptance and regret notifications have been e-mailed to all main presenters; however, you may also ascertain the status of your proposal and the day/time you have been assigned to present, if applicable, via your presenter menu.

All main presenters must complete an online participation agreement form for each accepted proposal by January 4, 2008. Please use the Presenter Login to access your presenter menu and confirm your participation.

Editing Your Proposal

NECC will publish its Advance Program in mid-February. In conjunction, all the presentation-related proposal content in our database will be made public on our Web site. As such, we ask you to help us keep this information as accurate and up-to-date as possible. This includes your contact information, proposal summary, primary URL, equipment requests, and copresenter information.

Note: your title and short description may have been edited for length and/or marketing appeal, and are no longer accessible for editing. If you feel a change is necessary for either of these two fields, please contact .

Choose Your Exhibitor Links

You may also go online to link your proposal to a maximum of 5 exhibitors via your presenter menu. When the NECC program goes live in mid-February, your session listing will include links to your selected exhibitors on the Interactive Exhibit Floor Plan.

Final Room Assignments

Final room assignments will be determined in mid-May, at which time you will be provided with complete room configuration and equipment information. All sessions will take place onsite either at the Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center or the Grand Hyatt San Antonio Hotel. New this year, all workshops will take place onsite as well!
