June Weather in Atlanta

Summers typically consist of long spells of warm and humid weather. Average afternoon high temperatures are in the upper 80s to around 90. Thunderstorms are common in the spring and summer months. But be sure to bring a sweater or light jacket, as the Convention Center is air-conditioned.

Airport-to-Hotel Transportation

The Atlanta Link is the sole shuttle operator at the airport that serves Downtown, Midtown, and Buckhead. Its ticket counter is located in the Ground Transportation Center in the Arrivals Lobby inside the airport as you come up the escalator in the main terminal (before baggage claim).

Special Discount: NECC attendees receive $2 off the round trip fare from the airport to your hotel when you book online. Discounted fees are:

Downtown Atlanta: $16.50 one way/$27 round trip
Midtown hotel: $18.50 one way/$31 round trip
Buckhead hotels: $20.50 one way/$35 round trip

The shuttle leaves the airport every 15 minutes from 6 am–12am.(Wait time may be incurred at the airport prior to departure and each vehicle may make additional stops prior to your destination.)

Hotel pickup times are twice an hour at 30-minute intervals from the Downtown Hotels and once an hour from the Midtown and Buckhead Hotels.

Heading out to Buckhead?

Buckhead is one of Atlanta's premiere communities, comprised of five-star restaurants and hotels, mid- to high-end retail shops and malls, and quality entertainment.

A free shuttle know as "the buc" provides convenient, fast and frequent service throughout the Buckhead community, with stops every 8–15 minutes. The shuttle runs 7 am–9 pm, Monday–Friday, and on Saturday, 10 am–9 pm. It connects directly with MARTA rail service, providing a great way for Buckhead visitors to commute.
