Program

A Roadmap for School Administrators

To more clearly identify topics of immediate relevance and application, ISTE has developed a focused strand that simplifies and targets the conference experience for education leaders and decision makers.

Leadership Strand Orientation & Networking Session
Sunday, June 24, 4–5:30 pm, Room B203   Add to Planner

Connect with other leaders from around the globe to elevate the conversation about educational technology and its role in creating learning environments that work. A fun networking activity will help you connect with as many other leaders as possible in a short period of time. Arrive a solo act...leave a member of an onsite cadre of colleagues.
Look for the Leadership torch icon throughout the Final Program and online resources and quickly spot specific sessions handpicked for leaders by our program committee. Sessions are selected from within NECC's full complement of concurrent sessions.

Whenever you need to take a moment to recharge and get centered, the Leadership Lounge on Level Three, Commons Café is the place to hang out. Gather with colleagues you met during the kick-off orientation and meet new friends. Comfy seating, power, and wireless connectivity are waiting!

A New, More Interactive NECC

This year's NECC is the most hands-on and interactive ever! New program offerings include:

Model Lesson sessions presented in a fish-bowl style model classroom featuring 21st-century technologies—attendees participate as students or observers.

Hands-on "BYOL" (Bring Your Own Laptop) session presenters actively engage attendees in discovery during the session itself.

The Bloggers' Café features active and participatory blogging events and activities.

Moderated Problem/ Solution Panels focus on successful solutions to commonly faced challenges with interactive dialogue between audience and panelists.

And, back by popular demand, the Hands-On Open Source Lab will once again enable participants to explore popular open source applications and resources.
