Registration
Media should register online for NECC 2007 media credentials by Monday, June 11,2007. After After Saturday, June 23, 2007, please register onsite. Media registration for NECC is free but is limited to five registrations per publication/organization. Details on the Media Registration page.
Media Center
The Media Center is located in Room B209 of the Georgia World Congress Center and will be open and staffed as follows:
- Monday, June 24, 8 am–6 pm
- Tuesday, June 25, 8 am–6 pm
- Wednesday, June 26, 8 am–3 pm
Services available in the Media Center include:
- computers and high-speed Internet access
- informal seating areas as well as work stations
- media kits, news releases, and invitations to media events from conference exhibitors, sponsors, and presenters
- snacks
Internet access in the Media Center and throughout the conference venues will be predominantly wireless. If you're bringing your own laptop, you'll need an Airport-compatible card to access NECC's wireless network. Be warned that wireless connectivity can pose problems for some heavy bandwidth activities such as video streaming.
Background
With its sessions, symposia, exhibitors, and registered attendees, NECC is the largest and most comprehensive Ed Tech event in the world. NECC has been providing PK–20 education professionals with an annual forum to learn, exchange information, and survey advancements in the field for nearly three decades.
Participants have the opportunity to discover and share through more than 700 workshops, lectures, and interactive sessions; discussion with key industry speakers; and a huge vendor exhibit .
NECC 2007 is presented by the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) in cooperation with the Georgia Department of Education, Georgia Public Broadcasting and Georgia's Leadership Institute for School Improvement.

NECC 2007 Highlights
Keynote sessions Andrew Zolli is a brilliant, globally-connected author, forecaster and design strategist. A dynamic leader of today's new generation of young futurists, he writes and speaks about the intersection of demographics, creativity, innovation, and design. Zolli will present the opening keynote Sunday evening and moderate a Tuesday morning panel.
Spotlight Sessions by more than 20 expert presenters explore some of the hottest topics in education today, including social networking and virtual worlds; 1-to-1 and mobile computing; 21st century literacy and standards; and the globalization of education.
Student Showcase Poster sessions feature students and technology projects from all levels and areas of education, including elementary students sharing their work with interactive stories and podcasting and high school students sharing their IT skills and projects within their communities and around the world.
International Reception. NECC typically includes attendees from about 50 countries. This reception provides an opportunity to network and share global experiences on integrating technology into the learning experience.
More than 170 hands-on, activity-based, and demo/lecture format preconference Workshops.
The largest technology in education exhibit in the nation—more than 500 exhibiting companies and 1,200 booths.
