NECC 2006 logo NECC 2006 was held in San Diego, CA, July 5–7, 2006.

NECC History

The first NECC was held in 1979. Take a stroll through 27 years of NECC history to see what has changed—remember the TRS-80?—and what has not—equity and gender issues first appear in 1984, and are still on the NECC program today.

Pioneers & Leaders

NECC has benefited from the involvement of many of the key figures in Ed Tech history. In 1999, NECC celebrated its 20th anniversary by honoring two groups: NECC Pioneers and Leaders—educators from all levels who had been a part of bringing the NECC experience to audiences across the country for at least 10 years.
