Monday, June 13, is the housing reservation cancellation deadline with our housing bureau; after this date, cancellations must be made directly with the hotels and are subject to each individual hotel policy.

In addition, any changes to your reservation must be made by Monday, June 13. Date changes will be made on a space-available basis. You can make changes to the name, address, date, special room requests, room type, and roommates portions of your reservation online, or you can make any/all changes via e-mail, fax, or mail.

Come and play in the NECC Playgrounds for assistive technology, physical education, art, and music! Each station at each playground will have hands-on activities and demonstrations. The Playgrounds are for all educators including specialists and include software, hardware, and activities for all grade levels, PK–12. Educator specialists (K–20) for each area will demonstrate and guide hands-on activities.

Results from School Library Media Specialists Survey to be Presented at NECC

Findings from a recent survey conducted by School Library Journal and ISTE's SIGMS indicate 95% of school library media specialists train students to use technology resources to locate information; 80% lead technology staff development initiatives; and 60% collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate information and technology (NETS standards) literacies.

Pre-NECC Philadelphia Digital Leadership Caucus Focuses on Minority Youth

Plan now to attend the 1st Annual Mayor’s Digital Leadership Caucus on Sunday, June 26, from 11 am to 7 pm, at Philadelphia’s City Hall. The City of Philadelphia, the Mayor's Commission on Technology, and ISTE are supporting this free, pre-NECC event to encourage education, corporate, and government leaders to find ways to use technology more effectively to educate minorities about its benefits and opportunities. Learn how digital parity can improve the quality of life for minorities in the new "knowledge economy." Do you know any student video producers? Know any students with a message for older generations? We want to screen their work. Held in conjunction with NECC, the festival will feature student-created digital videos that express and communicate unique student voices.
