NAME BADGE & CONFERENCE MATERIALS PICK-UP

The Registration Area is located in the Grand Hall of the PACC. Follow the signs to Registration once you depart the hotel shuttles.

Attendees & Co-Presenters, pick up your badge at the Advance Registration counters designated by RED CARPET. Your name badge will be filed alphabetically by last name.

Main Session Presenters and Main Workshop Presenters pick-up badges at the Presenter Counters designated by GREEN CARPET.

Those attendees still needing to register for the conference, should go to the Onsite Registration Area designated by BLUE CARPET.

AVOID THE REGISTRATION RUSH!

We expect registration lines to be long Tuesday morning between 8–10 am. We encourage you to pick up your registration materials on Monday from 7 am–7 pm, before 8 am on Tuesday or after 10 am once the rush has finished.

CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS

 * OPENING NIGHT KEYNOTE AND RECEPTION!
The Opening Keynote session with David Weinberger is Monday, June 27 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center (PACC) in Ballroom A/B on Level 3, from 5:45–6:45 pm. The Opening Reception follows immediately from 7–9 pm in the Grand Hall and throughout Level 2, with complimentary food and non-alcoholic beverages. Seating in the keynote is limited, and participants are encouraged to arrive early. The session will be simulcast to additional rooms at the PACC if needed. NOTE that building access will be restricted to the PACC Main Entrance on Market Street during the reception set-up hours of 5:30–6:45 pm.

 * ISTE MEMBERS
The ISTE Membership Meeting is Wednesday, June 29, from 2–3 pm in Room 201B of the PACC.

 * NEWCOMERS' AND INTERNATIONAL VISITORS' ACTIVITIES
Newcomers' sessions will be held Monday, June 27, from 4:15–5:15 pm, and Tuesday, June 28, from 7:15–8:15 am, in the Philadelphia Marriott Salon G/H.

The International Attendees' Reception will be held Monday, June 27, from 4–5:30 pm in Room 201B of the PACC. An International Lounge will be available for limited hours on Tuesday, June 28, & Wednesday, June 29. See the Final Program for hours and details.

ADDITIONAL IMPORTANT INFORMATION

 * REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY

Conference Registration and/or Ticketed Event cancellations, except tours and Kids' Camp, will be accepted through June 20, 2005. Cancellations of tours will be accepted through May 27, 2005 and cancellations of Kids' Camp will be accepted through June 10, 2005. If you must cancel a tour or Kids' Camp from your registration after these dates, please contact the Registration Office for details and assistance. (Ticketed events include Workshops, the conference luncheon & keynote, Wednesday's Celebrating the Constitution event, specific ISTE PDS events, Kids' Camp and tours.) ISTE membership fees are non-refundable.

Full registration cancellations will be subject to a $25 service fee. After the cancellation deadline, no refunds will be granted for cancelled registrations. If you are unable to attend, you may substitute another individual in your place at no extra charge. The approved refunds will be processed following the conference in July/August 2005.

All cancellations must be submitted in writing; send an e-mail to or fax to 1.541.346.3545.

Please note: NECC reserves the right to cancel workshops, tours and any other ticketed event that does not have enough enrollment to cover expenses or does not meet the enrollment minimum. In the event of this type of cancellation, the ticketed events fees will be fully refunded.

TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION

 * DAILY CONFERENCE SHUTTLE SERVICE

Daily shuttle service will be provided between most official conference hotels and the Pennsylvania Convention Center (PACC) for all badged conference attendees & paid guests. Approximate transit time between most locations is 10-15 minutes. Please plan accordingly. Detailed shuttle schedules will be in the available at the Transportation Desk (12th Street Lobby) and at the NECC Info Booth in the Grand Hall.

Unless otherwise noted, shuttles will depart from and return to the PACC at 12th Street. See below for conference shuttle schedules.

 * GROUND TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM PHILADELPHIA AIRPORT
Rail service between the Philadelphia Airport and the PA Convention Center is easy and economical. Approximate cost is $2.50 each way. Additional information is available at www.septa.org; Amtrak connections are also available from most surrounding areas: www.amtrak.com.
 * ONSITE PARKING
All-day parking charges will cost up to $20 per day. See the PACC website for a map of parking lots: http://www.paconvention.com/; participants are encouraged to explore rail transportation as an alternative to driving at www.amtrak.com.
